The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions to the community.

SASSA will be rendering companies like new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency explained it is actually alarmed with regard to the significant number of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The goal with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a higher variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This really is a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no thoroughly functional office committed to service the area regularly. The company point produced for intervention ordeals a significant influx of possible beneficiaries, which makes it tough for that Workplace to attend to all people SRD who take a look at a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more methods to permit the servicing of all buyers and boost access to Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
